I'm all for dumpster diving as long as I don't have to actually get
into the dumpster. If I can reach it and think I can use it or know
someone else who can or if I think it will get picked up from
freecycle I will get it.
The week before christmas a neighbor moved out and these are the
things they threw away.
Two tall shelf units - They went into my closet to help organize
things
A short shelf unit _ went to my sister to hold videos
Two T-Mbile phones complete with boxe, chargers and directions
Cassette recorder with am/fm and headphones
A label maker and and 4-5 packages of labels
a 4 inch stack of construction paper ( my kids were excited)
a roll of smilely stickers
two gameboy advance magnifiers and lights
A "under the bed"storage box full of wrapping paper and ribbon
several board games
All the discs to load quicken on the computer
probably 50+ discs for the computer (am not using them don't know
what is on them, they went back in the dumpster.)
I am probably forgetting some things.
Almost all this was in a moving box that I wanted to use to put
Christmas presents in to take to my moms. It was full of this stuff.
I have also gotten a computer chair, glider rocker and automan,
baby changer, wooden rocking chair, exersausers, booster chairs,
books, toys. some I keep, some give away and the rest freecycle.
Why fill our landfills with things that people can use. We are
such a disposable society anymore it is just sad.
Sorry this is so long, and it is just my opinion.
Have a great day.
Anita
