My kids birthdays are Feb. 9th and 18th. So I always do a combo birthday =) I rent a room at the local indoor pool. We use Midland Community center. It cost about $25.00 for the room. They give you a discount for swimming, so I usually have about 25 adults and kids ($40.00 to swim).
Of course the kids are starving by the time we do presents, so if I have money, I order pizzas and juice barrels. I was kinda embarressed one year I had not got my UE check and it was delayed, so I was broke. I went to the bread store and bought snacks, bread and juice barrels. I spent and hour and a half making sandwiches. I made some just jelly, some just p. butter and some both. Holy cow! The kids and parents loved them! There was just enough, and I think I used 6 or 7 loaves of bread! My daughter was upset the next year when I didn't make the sandwiches!
My daughter is 11 and my son is 3, it is a great "common ground" party for both of them. They have such a blast! Last year we let my daughter bring 4 friends back home after the party to sleepover. The great part was by 9:30 pm.. all the kids were sound asleep! Wore right out.
Good Luck!

I can't compare to her friends who get to go to Libby lu, Craigs Cruisers, or Bounce Party. Any ideas for something out of the house in Feb? She will be 6
